Time Management:

Responsibility Creep and Other Time Suckers

Have you ever wondered how much of our work activities are “non-value-added”, and in fact not what we’re expected to do?

The gradual addition of work and responsibilities, along with a variety of time suckers, can quickly lead to stress, burnout and anxiety.

So where does the time go and what can we do about it?

This workshop will incorporate group discussions and activities to explore why this happens and what we can do to correct it. It will delve into responsibility creep – where it comes from, how to assess your current state, and what steps you can take to remedy the situation, including the importance of “communicating up”.

The workshop will also highlight some common time suckers, with tips and tools to get them under control. You may discover more time in your day, along with more purpose and value in work that you do well and enjoy.

The workshop focuses on:

  • Defining what leads to Excessive Workloads
  • Understanding Current State of Your Workload (Evaluation Tool)
  • Aligning Current State With Expectations
  • Evaluation Tool
  • Tips for other Time Wasters
