Achieving consensus is essential for leading organizational change, reaching meaningful decisions, and turning vision into action. Visualization (also known as graphical facilitation) is a common language shared by everyone. Used effectively, it can be a powerful business leadership tool in consensus-based decision-making.

This luncheon session will be conducted in a graphical facilitation style with both a presenter and a graphical facilitator. Real-life examples will be provided, along with key insights into how you can include visualization as a leadership tool.

Learning objectives:

  • Understand the types of visualization (graphical facilitation) techniques that have shown practical application.
  • Learn the basics of where and how to introduce visualization into your workshops, meetings and leadership sessions.
  • Learn visualization essentials to help you get started and find out about what other resources are available.

Presenters:

Grant Barkman is President and Lead Facilitator at DecisionWorks, a Manitoba-based management consultancy specializing in leadership of change through effective decision-making. A world-class facilitator and public speaker, he has presented at national and internal leadership conferences and recently gave a TEDx Manitoba talk on the Power of Visualization.

Tracey Levasseur, Vice-President and Lead Business Consultant at DecisionWorks, is skilled at visually communicating complex issues and processes. An excellent group facilitator, Tracey is accredited in ProSci change management, graphic facilitation, business modeling, and training.

QUEST

This session is presented by QNET in partnership with APICS Winnipeg Chapter and Industry Workforce Development, Manitoba Entrepreneurship Training & Trade
