In this highly interactive workshop, you will learn key ways to use story and presentation skills to communicate your value, illustrate the impact of your work, and move others to action. You will get hands-on practice, listen to great examples of powerful presentations and pitch, and take away tools that will help you shape presentations and pitches for different audiences.

Learning outcomes include:

  • Identify the basic building blocks of an impactful story structure.
  • Demonstrate concrete ways to make presentations memorable and actionable.
  • Apply at least two presentation structures useful in developing a succinct pitch.
  • Identify, develop and practice a presentation segment that relates to a specific goal or audience you need to connect with in your work.
  • Gain tips for engaging and authentic delivery, as well as managing pre-presentation anxiety.

This session incorporates a combination of instruction, modeling, individual work, small group practice, and large group discussion and coaching in a workshop setting for maximum effectiveness in transfer of learning.

Participants will get theory and skills balanced with hands-on practice, listen to great examples of powerful storytelling and presentation delivery, and take away tools that will help them shape presentations for different audiences.
