COURSE DATE / TIMES (in person; possible switch to virtual):

This course is scheduled as an IN PERSON offering with safety protocols in place that include plenty of space for physical distancing and the requirement that participants wear masks at all times unless seated, physically distanced. 

Closer to the date of the course, we will review the plan for in person and may switch the course to a VIRTUAL offering. 

Note that this course is not available in a "hybrid format" (some in person and some virtual) - we will need to make a decision for all participants to be in person or all virtual. If you have a preference for in person or virtual, please let us know by emailing: mail@qnet.ca

Two days - Thursday & Friday, December 3 & 4
8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. both days
Location: QNET (660-175 Hargrave Street, Winnipeg) OR/ at a larger training facility if numbers exceed capacity of QNET Training Room

Six sessions over three days
Wednesday-Friday, December 2-4
9:00-11:00 a.m. + 1:00-2:30 p.m. (each day)

This leadership course teaches proven strategies to drive rapid and sustainable behaviour change for teams and organizations. By learning how to discover and counteract the complex web of forces underlying resistant organizational problems, you'll be able to make change inevitable.

An Influencer motivates and enables others to change

The best leaders know how to get individuals to work together to accomplish goals. Although we’re routinely trying to alter behaviour, few of us can articulate an effective strategy to create this behaviour change. By drawing from the skills of many of the world’s best change agents and combining them with five decades of social-science research, Influencer Training creates a powerful and portable model for behaviour change.

We often we struggle to enable our colleagues to complete projects on time and on budget, to motivate employees to demonstrate more concern for profitability or following procedures. We work on ways to exert influence, but regularly fall short.

Workshop Facilitators: 

Tamara Kerr, Leader of Tamara Kerr Consulting is Managing Director, Vital Smarts Central Canada. She spent 15 years in senior leadership before becoming a consultant specializing in leadership development, coaching and team effectiveness. Praised for her engaging and warm facilitation style, she brings a lighthearted approach to training while being serious about the value of enhancing daily interactions. Tamara emphasizes the importance of quantifiable impact beyond the training event with action plans for integrating skills to achieve results.

Rhonda Barry has been involved with corporate training and development, both nationally and internationally, for over 35 years. She designs and delivers programs and workshops from process and systems training to leadership, sales, team development and train the trainer. Rhonda is certified in Getting Things Done, Crucial Accountability, Crucial Conversations, Influencer, and Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTITM). She was a finalist in the YWCA Women of Distinction awards and has been profiled as an Inventive Woman in Canada for her innovative and successful training.
